She was born in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, India, her family hailed from famous Royal Chauhan Rajput of Mainpuri district, Uttar Pradesh.[citation needed] Her father is a police inspector, and she has one elder brother and two sisters, one younger and one elder. She studied at DPS, Noida and then Philosophy honors at Gargi College in New Delhi.[citation needed][edit] Modelling career
She was crowned as the Miss World Tourism 2005 at Miri, Sarawak state of Malaysia.[1] She is the first Indian to have claimed Miss World Tourism title.[citation needed] She has been a popular model of Delhi, and has appeared in a number of advertisement campaigns in print and electronic media.
